Meet the Team
Director and Entertainer
Grace has been working as a performer for thirteen years, and has particular experience specialising in interactive events. She worked for three years as a children's entertainer before co-founding Jollypop Entertainment, and Grace's professional acting credits include a variety of roles in shows for children. With a degree in creative writing and experience as a professional script writer and editor, you'll also find Grace's writing skills being put to use in Jollypop's interactive story times. Grace loves working alongside her best friend and business partner, Kate and enjoys the variety of entertainment at Jollypop. With training in singing, she loves to sing with her princess friends, as well as chasing baddies with cheeky pirates. Along side her work with Jollypop, Grace now works part time in a school, providing support to children with special educational needs. She has two of her own children who ask every year for their mummy to entertain at their parties.
Grace says: "There is nothing better than the feeling I get from entertaining at a children's party. When you see the joy that we bring to children on their special days, it really is the most rewarding experience"
Director and Entertainer
Kate is a professionally trained singer, with a passion for musical theatre and all things princess. She has industry experience panning from West End, to pantomime and children's theatre. She was in the orginal West End cast of 'Unfolding Tales the musical' and is currently involved with the recording of a brand new musical 'Legends of Arahma' with composer Joe Purdue. Kate is interested in many areas of performing and also regularly performs with local function band 'Sweet Music'. When not treading the boards Kate works in education, supporting children with additional needs, something she is very passionate about. She has been working as a children's entertainer for over four years and has loved using all of her experience to build Jollypop with her best friend and partner in crime Grace.
Kate says: "Jollypop is very much about quality. We're very passionate about making dreams come true!"
Kate is thrilled to be part of the Jollypop team. She has been performing all her life, starting dancing in Ballet shows when she was just three years old! She trained in ballet and modern for 10 years, which led her to audition successfully for Disneyland Paris in 2014. She performed on the parades, in shows and in meet and greets as a Character and Parade Performer (she got to know Queen Elsa and Mary Poppins particularly well!) for over a year.
Back home in the UK, she has performed with Bishopstoke Players since she was 14 and has played the principle girl in numerous pantomimes such as Sleeping Beauty and Treasure Island, while also doing some more gritty shows such as Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing and the stage adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps! She has a real passion for musicals as well and has played Cinderella in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella at the Nuffield theatre in Southampton, plus she has performed in famous musicals such as Oliver!, Jesus Christ Superstar and Avenue Q.
Kate is really excited to bring lots of fun and a little bit of magic to all her events with Jollypop.
James got into performing only five years ago but that hasn’t stopped him from playing roles such as Bill Sykes in Oliver! and The Prince in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella both at the Nuffield theatre in Southampton, one half of the comedy duo in numerous pantomimes, Richard Hannay in the stage adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps and Benedick in Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing to name a few. He has even won and been nominated for several awards for his work despite having to be dragged along to his first audition by his partner. From that first audition (where he got the part!), he has continued auditioning for all sorts of shows and has never looked back.
By day, James manages a gym in Southampton which he loves because he enjoys training in the gym for free! He is also a talented bass and guitar player; performing in a recently established band with fellow Jollypop entertainer, Kate!
James is delighted to be working with Jollypop Entertainment and looks forward to you meeting some of his royal and super hero friends!
Cat has been performing ever since she was 5 years old, knowing straight away that her passion was in the arts, Cat went to university to study as a music teacher and has been balancing teaching and performance ever since. She loves being a Jack of all trades across all the performing arts but says that singing, puppetry and circus are her favourites. Cat spent 10 years performing with the Gilbert and Sullivan society in Aberdeen before moving to London where she is now focussing on her circus performing which has already taken her all over the world, working with lots of different charity groups to bring performing skills to underpriviledged kids.
During her free time, Cat is always finding spaces outside and in the gym to focus on expanding her skills and learning new ones.
Killian is an actor, magician, and aerial hoop artist! As an actor, Killian's professional credits range from film to interactive theatre. He put his performing on hold from the age of 18 when he joined the British Army; he was reminded how much he loved performance when he joined an amateur dramatics society in Derby in 2014. Shortly after that, Killian planned his exit from the Army and his way into a life as a professional performer. He started working in children's entertainment in 2015, and loves the variaty of roles Jollypop provides. At Jollypop parties, Killian can most often be found walking the plank as a rugged pirate, or escorting princesses as a handsome prince!
Killian has enjoyed a vast array of roles, but will always fondly remember his first stage show in secondary school, in which he played the Fiddler in 'Fiddler on the Roof'
