Jollypop Entertainment ltd Terms and Conditions

 

These Terms and Conditions govern the services provided by Jollypop Entertainment Ltd. Prior to booking any services with Jollypop Entertainment Ltd, it is essential that you read, understand, and accept these Terms and Conditions. By confirming your booking with Jollypop Entertainment ltd via our bookings finalisation link, verbally or in writing our clients agree to the below Terms and Conditions.

 

Section headers are for reference and guidance purposes, these do not limit the scope and extent of any individual section.

 

Payment Terms

£50 Deposit: Jollypop Entertainment require a £50 non-refundable deposit to secure your booking, to be paid within five days of receipt of invoice or booking finalisation link.

Full Payment: Complete payment is due before the date of your booking. 

Jollypop Entertainment ltd reserve the right to cancel your booking upon failure to pay as per the above terms.

 

The above payment terms apply to all services except:

Seasonal Home Visits

Jollypop Entertainment Ltd require full payment to be made within five days of receipt of invoice or booking finalisation link. Seasonal visit fees are non-refundable in the event of cancelation on the client’s part. Seasonal Home visits are available on limited dates as advertised and prices do not apply to bookings on any other dates or with alternative characters.

 

Refunds
Deposit payments are non-refundable except in an instance where Jollypop are unable to fulfil the booking because of staff illness, injury, or other extenuating circumstance. Jollypop will always do our utmost to recast your booking or to offer an alternative character before resorting to a necessary cancelation.
 

No refund for any part of your party fee will be given if your party is cancelled for the following reasons:

·      The entertainer cannot continue entertainment for a party/event/visit due to unacceptable behaviour of participants, or their families. This includes behaviour which puts other party participants, or our entertainer at risk, and behaviour which is abusive.

·      The entertainer leaves your booking because appropriate social distancing guidelines and Jollypop’s own safety measures are not adhered to by you or your guests. Jollypop Entertainment will always follow Government guidelines regarding the covid 19 pandemic if applicable at the time.

·      An unsuitable space is provided for our activities.

·      You, your child, or guests become unwell or must isolate and you cancel your booking with us. In this instance we will offer a rescheduled party dependent on availability and transfer your deposit payment over to the new date.


 

Entertainment


Performers

Character performers may vary from photographs shown on our website, social media pages, or any other media. We cannot guarantee that your party or event will be hosted by a particular entertainer.  We do always guarantee a high-quality performance.

Performer Safety

It is of the utmost importance to us that our performers are safe. We reserve the right for our performers to leave a party or event should they feel that their safety is in compromised in any way.


Weather conditions
Outdoor garden parties are not suitable for longer than 60 minutes. If you choose to book a longer package with us you must provide suitable indoor space. Our performers often wear thick costumes and wigs, engage in high energy activities, and are not safe to perform under the heat of the sun for longer than 60 minutes. To protect the safety of our performers during particularly extreme heat, Jollypop reserve the right to ask that indoor space is also provided for 60 minute bookings.
For their safety, and for the protection of our high quality costumes and wigs, performers are not able to perform outside in rain, very cold weather, or strong wind. We ask that indoor space is provided in these instances.

Consumables

If sweets are provided by our entertainers at an event or party, it is your responsibility as the customer/parent/guardian to inform us if you, your children, or party participants have any food allergies or dietary requirements. If you would prefer us not to bring sweets to your party for use as prizes, you must indicate so on our booking form in the comments section.

Balloon modelling

If Balloon models are provided at an event or party, it is your responsibility, as the customer/parent/guardian to inform us if you, your children or party participants are allergic to latex or any other material associated with balloons. We advise that small children should never be left unsupervised with balloon models. Popped balloons are a choking hazard.


Mascots
Our mascot characters (such as our huggable snowman) are available to add to party bookings for thirty minutes only and to event bookings for short thirty to forty five minute (heat and performer safety dependent) appearances throughout longer events. At longer events our mascot performer must have regular breaks to be agreed at the time of booking.
Mascot characters cannot travel in costume, and therefor clients must provide an indoor space for the performer to change. This space must be away from sight of guests or event attendees.
Mascots requite plenty of space. Our huggable snowman will not fit through narrow doorways or hall ways and should not be booked for venues which are limited by these.

 

 

Safety and Equipment

Jollypop entertainers will always instruct responsible behaviour, and the safe use of equipment. However:

 

 It is your responsibility, as the customer/parent/guardian to ensure that participants do not touch any of our sound, light or effects equipment. Electrical equipment can be dangerous and is not to be touched by children.

 

Occasionally our entertainers may use equipment such as glitter, sand, synthetic snow, bubble liquid, and glue. It is your responsibility as the customer/parent/guardian to ensure that party participants do not consume any of this equipment.

 

Jollypop Entertainment do not accept responsibility for any injuries occurred when party participants or their families do not follow the safety instructions verbally given by our entertainers. This includes accidents caused by the misuse of any of our equipment. Including, but not exclusive to:  the misuse of parachutes, balls and skipping ropes.

 

Should our equipment become damaged following unacceptable, destructive behaviour from any party participant, our customer may be required to cover the financial cost of repair or replacement.

Events

Rehearsals and Children

Jollypop Entertainment ltd are committed to character integrity and to maintaining the magic of our characters for children. In order to preserve this magic, our character performers will not rehearse for any event with children present.

Rehearsal Fees

If you require our performers to attend rehearsals for your events, it is your responsibility to let us know this at the time of booking. The charge for our rehearsal time will be added to your invoice.


Equipment

Jollypop use small speakers suitable for indoor children’s parties. We do not provide large speaker systems or microphones suitable for large or outdoor events. It is our event clients’ responsibility to provide these if required. If a sound check is required, Jollypop should be alerted to this at the time of booking in order for us to quote for the necessary time.


Staff breaks
At events longer than four hours, our client is responsible for providing an adequate space for performers to take breaks away from guests. This must be in a space not visible to event attendees. At the time of booking, breaks will be agreed between Jollypop Entertainment and the client.


Queues
Clients planning events at which guests may queue to meet characters, or for balloon modelling, should either let us know at booking that they would like to add a Jollypop attendant to their booking or should provide their own staff member to manage queues and close queue lines. This avoids disappointed guests at the end of our booked time. Clients are responsible for ensuring that you have booked plenty of time for all of your guests to meet our characters, we reserve the right to leave at the end of our booked time, or to charge an additional fee should our performers be kept longer than the allotted time.

 

Your personal information

Jollypop Entertainment ltd is committed to keeping your data secure.

When you make your booking with Jollypop Entertainment we will record your name, email address, phone number and venue address. Your information will be protected and shared only with the company directors and the performer(s) attending your party.


Copyright laws
Jollypop Entertainment ltd does not and will not offer any characters under copyright. Our fairytale characters have been based on stories that have been told throughout the centuries and, therefore, have been out of copyright and in public domain. While our characters have been modelled after some of the most popular re-tellings and renditions of these fairytales, they are not affiliated with any theme park or company. Our characters are unique to us. Any resemblance you may see is simply incidental. We will only serve clients who respect this notice and request that clients do not use any copywriting names within advertising for events. 

 

Entire agreement and applicable law

This Agreement sets out all terms between Jollypop Entertainment and clients

This contract shall be governed in accordance with the laws of England and English courts shall have jurisdiction in relation to the agreement.
